The State Police Commissioner, Foluso Adebanjo, while parading the suspects at a news conference in Benin disclosed that the command also recovered N171, 000 cash from the suspects.

The police commissioner explained that the suspects, who have all confessed to the alleged crimes, were arrested at various locations within the state.
The commissioner however described two of the suspects, Osaruwense Ogbeide and Osahon Uhunamure, whom he said had been on the command’s wanted lists, as notorious criminals had taken part in several reported kidnap cases in the state.
Adebanjo further disclosed that the command had also arrested about three manufacturers of locally made pistol who were already assisting the command with useful information on how to get to other suspects now at large.
He used the forum to warn other suspects and their cohorts to steer clear of the state especially during the yuletide season in Edo as the state will be too unsafe for their likes and their activities.
