A blaze close to the line in St Denis has forced a part closure of the track - meaning services cannot enter or exit the Gare du Nord.
The incident reportedly left the line damaged, leading to potential delays. It is unclear when services in and out of the station are due to resume.
The news means passengers hoping to travel to and from the Continent via the Channel Tunnel could face further misery.
A spokeswoman for Eurostar said the problem should be resolved shortly, and that there had been no cancellations to services.
Both Eurostar, which runs passenger trains through the tunnel, and Eurotunnel Le Shuttle car service had hoped to resume a normal service today following massive disruption over the weekend.

All passenger and Eurotunnel Le Shuttle car services were halted on Saturday after fire was detected on a truck at the French end of the underground railway’s south tunnel.
Passengers told of their terror when smoke filled the train and oxygen masks started dropping from their ceiling before they were ushered into a sealed compartment.
