A member of the House of Representatives also receives N144 million as allowances… while senates are of the receiving ends of N250 million making it a wasted N1 billion naira yearly for senators each and their counterpart brothers in the Reps crush’s home with N576 millions yearly for each of the Reps….

Utilities: 30% of (BS)
Domestic staff: 35% of (BS)
Entertainment: 30% of (BS)
Personal Assistance: 25% of (BS)
Vehicle maintenance allowance: 75% of (BS)
Leave allowance: 10% of (BS)
One off payments (severance gratuity): 300% of (BS)
Motor vehicle allowance: 400% of (BS)
Total per month = N29,479,749.00
Can Buhari Do Something About This
The issue still remains whether Nigeria’s lawmakers can justify this payout in a country ravaged by poverty, where more than 80 percent of the people live on less than 5 dollar a day…
