1) The Emir of Kano, Mallam Sanusi Lamido said that they are waiting for traditional rites to be performed before moving to the Palace. 10/06/2014.

2) Gov Kwankwaso said that Sanusi is Living in Government House For security reasons. 09/06/2014.

3) We are looking for a new accommodation for the late Emir's family. - Kano State Government. - 11/06/2014.

4) The late Emir was in office for about 51years, so the Palace need repair and renovation, before the new Emir will move in. - Kano Emirate. -10/06/2014

5) We will ensure that the Palace is blocked until Governor Kwankwaso reverse the appointment of Sanusi Lamido for the People choice, Sanusi Ado Bayero - Protesters. 10/06/2014

6) President Jonathan ordered the police to block entrance into the Palace, that is why the New Emir is still operating from Kano Government House. - APC.
